Mount Everest is known as Sagarmatha in Nepali language and in Tibetan language, it is known as Chomolungma. It is Earth’s highest mountain standing at 8,848 meter (29,029 ft) above sea level. The international border is between Tibet (controlled by China) and Nepal. There are many peaks above 7500 meter located near Mount Everest including Lhotse 8,516 m (27,940 ft);  Nuptse, 7,855 m (25,771 ft), and Changtse, 7,580 m (24,870 ft).


Climbing Everest is the ultimate objective for many mountaineers around the world, a most compelling and challenging expedition. The first 2 persons to reach the summit is Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay 29th, May, 1953. Read more at :-


An attempt on Mt Everest expedition is an enormous mountaineering target and requires commitment and a huge amount of dedication including discipline. Global Expedition Club will be organizing the 2018 Everest Expedition. The team will gather in Kathmandu, Nepal starting from 15th March and begin the trek to Everest Base Camp and start the climbing from 2nd week of April till June first week.


Expedition Itinerary


  • Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu.
  • Day (2 – 3) – Kathmandu, briefing and procedures.
  • Day 4 – Fly to Lukla and trek to Pakding.
  • Day 5 – Trek to Namche Bazaar.
  • Day 6 – Acclimatize in Namche Bazaar.
  • Day 7 – Trek to Tengboche.
  • Day 8 – Trek to Dingboche.
  • Day 9 – Acclimatisation in Dingboche.
  • Day 10 – Trek to Lobuche.
  • Day 11 – Trek to Goreshep.
  • Day 12 – Trek to Kalapathar and to Base Camp.
  • Day (13 – 51) – Climbing Mount Everest (Establishing Camps and Acclimatization).
  • Day 52 – Clean Base Camp.
  • Day (53 – 55) – Trek down to Pheriche / Dingboche and to Lukla.
  • Day 56 – Fly to Kathmandu.
  • Day (57-58) – Kathmandu and departure.
